Scope and Content The Galloway Hydro-Electric scheme comprises six major power stations: Drumjohn, Kendoon, Carsfad, Eralstoun, Glenlee and Tongland, which are fed by a complex of interconnected lochs and reservoirs including Loch Ken, Earlstoun Loch and Carsfad Loch. The flow of water is regulated by a number of man-made dams and tunnels, and this collection of images documents the scheme. It is one of a series recording the eight major hydro-electric schemes in Scotland.
