Scope and Content This image shows the North Dam at Loch Doon, part of the galloway Hydro-Electric Power Scheme. The level of the water in Loch Doon was low when the photo was taken, so much of the Dam is exposed. The round part on the right right contains a complicated fish ladder so that salmon can reach the river below when coming up to spawn or afterwards.
