Scope and Content Roberts accepts Britton’s invitation to attend the lecture he is to deliver to the Royal Institute of British Architects, and requests that Britton present Roberts’ argument to the institute that the east end of the chapel has been altered from its original design. Roberts puts forward his argument that the east wall was moved to extend the interior of the chapel and provides evidence for his assertion. The letter further criticises repairs to the castle undertaken by William Burn.
