Architecture Notes

A complex of polychrome-brick Renaissance-style buildings dating from 1877 and designed by M Forsyth of Airdrie for tobacco-pipe makers, W White & Sons, who had been in business in Gibson Street since 1824. (For more information, see Historic Scotland List Description: 33813)

At the time of survey in 2001, there was a threat of demolition to the block occupying 21-25 Gibson Street and 71-73 Moncur Street.
