Archaeology Notes

NT08NE 78 09664 86778

(Location cited as NT 097 867). St Leonard's Works (linen), built 1851. A magnificent 3-storey, 5- by 17-bay Italian Renaissance building. The other buildings on the site have been demolished.

J R Hume 1976.

Mid-Victorian Italianate three-storey block with single storey extension to E. The former part converted to residential flats c. 1985 as 'Erskine House'.
