RCAHMS Special Survey

[Special] Surveys were made of Dundurn Fort (Perth and Kinross District, Tayside); Redford Bridge cairns (Clydesdale District. Strathclyde); deserted township, Galtrigill (Skye and Lochalsh District, Highland).

1130958	RECORDING	MEASURED SURVEY	RCAHMS surveyed the NW part of the township at Galtrigall, Skye, in June 1988 after a request from R Miket of Skye and Lochalsh Museums Service. The survey, undertaken by plane-table and self-reducing alidade at a scale of 1:500, was redrawn in ink in September. The survey area measured about 500m from NE to SW by 150m transversely centred at NG 1795 5456.	June 1988
1109584	RECORDING	MEASURED SURVEY	RCAHMS surveyed the fort and cultivation terraces at Dundurn on 11-13 May 1988 at a scale of 1:500, using a Wild self-reducing alidade and plane-table. The survey comprised five individual plan drawings (DC11840-11844), brought together as a master plan (DC 11839). This plan was redrawn in ink (DC11845) and published at a reduced scale in 1995 (Walker and Ritchie 1995, p.164). Detailed (1:10) drawings of the rock cut slots were also produced.	11 May 1988
