Scope and Content This view focuses on the industrial estate at Muir of Ord. The Mansfield Showground where the Black Isle Show is held annually is at the centre and Gilchrist Mausoleum is towards bottom left of picture. Gilchrist was formerly a chapel and is now the Mausoleum for the MacKenzies of Ord. There is a promontory fort on the right, below the showground, which was excavated by the Tarradale Through Time Project in 2018.
