Scope and Content The area in the image is at The Ord, an extensive Scheduled Monument comprising chambered cairns, cairns, settlements and field systems, including numerous hut circles. The image contains an irregular enclosure with extensive rig and furrow. A heather-covered cairn visible within its lower right arc is recorded as a possible round cairn, perhaps kerbed, or possibly just a clearance cairn. Midway between it and the white, rectangular telecoms mast compound is a chambered cairn (in circular grey patch). Extensive rig and furrow, with hut circles, is visible at mid-left edge of image. Part of an extensive cairnfield is visible at lower left edge. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
