Scope and Content This shows Tobermoray harbour and old pier to the right, built by Thomas Telford in 1801-14 for the British Fisheries Society. 440m above the harbour are the fragments of medieval St Mary's chapel and its large burial ground. Nearby is Tober Mhoire, a holy well which gives Tobermoray its name. There are many additional references to houses of note.
