Scope and Content The main feature in this image is the precipitously-sided ridge of An Sgurr ("the Sgurr of Eigg"), towards the lower left edge of the photograph, 9 acres of which is occupied by an Iron Age fort. To its right, lies Loch nam Ban Mora ("loch of the large women") which has a dun on a tiny islet. The moorland contains numerous settlement-related features, dating from prehistoric to more recent times. Part of the Isle of Rum is visible at top right.
