ARCHITECT: Percy Johnson-Marshall and Partners 1989

In 1988 St Johnstone Football Club sold their valuable town centre site to Asda Stores plc and embarked on the construction of a new 10,000 seater stadium on farmland at the edge of Perth owned by Mr B McDiarmid. McDiarmid Park is the first purpose-built new all-seater football stadium to be built in Scotland this century.
