Field Visit (31 May 1961)

The turf and stone outline of a possible shieling 6m by 2m by 0.2m high with a small enclosure also 0.2m high attached to its west side. On the east side of the shieling an old bank runs in a northerly direction to form a larger enclosure, having the Suisgill Burn as its west boundary.

Visited by OS 31 May 1961.

Field Visit (6 April 1991)

A building measuring 6m from N to S by 2.8m transversely within a stone-faced rubble bank 1m in thickness and 0.4m in height, is situated to the SE of a sheepfold on the N bank of the Gold Burn. Its N end has been reduced and an enclosure is appended to the W side.

An earth-and-stone field bank, depicted on the OS 1:10,560 map (1962), encloses an area to the N.
