Archaeology Notes

NS78NW 1 7373 8922.

NS 735 891. A cairn is situated on open moorland, 1/4 mile W of King's Yett. It consists of a grass-covered, stony mound c.30' in diameter and 4'6" high. A rectangular boulder which lies in the S arc of the base of the cairn, and which appears to be in situ, may have formed part of a peristalith.

NS 7373 8922. This cairn, 12.5m in diameter and 1.75m high, situated upon the edge of a slight decline, is generally as described by the RCAHMS.
