Archaeology Notes (1977)

NR92SE 19 c.983 246.

A stone axe 13.4 x 5.8 x 3.3 cms was found in a drain at NR 983 246, near Aucheleffan, by Forestry Commission Work- men.

DES 1976.

The axe described as being of well polished blue-grey stone was found during the 1974-75 season and is in the possession of the Head Forester (Mr Proudfoot, Forestry Commission Office, Brodick).
