A cist, 2 x 1m, composed of standing stone slabs. Probing revealed some stone on the water covered floor. No cap stone is visible.
Information from MS DoE Arran Field Survey, 1976 (see archive).
NR 9085 2609 An irregularly formed cist set into a low swelling between a marsh area on the W and a steep boulder-scattered slope on the E.
Nine set stones were determined which together with loose packing material formed an approximate oblong 2m NE-SW by 1m NW-SE. It is 1.0m deep and the floor is as described. The set stones vary in width from 0.1 to 0.6m and are up to 0.8m high, with two set on edge flush with ground level. Its limit and appearance is confused on the E side by living rock formations and loose boulder tumble.
Surveyed at 1:10 000 and 1:50.
Visited by OS (J R L), 19 October 1977.
