This monument, listed as a "four-poster" by Burl, consists of four rectangular granite pillars, between 2ft 6ins and 3ft 6ins high, set exactly N, S, E and W, enclosing an area 16ft square. It was excavated by Bryce, who found nothing.

NR 9784 2505 A setting of four large stones generally as described above. They are not, however, oriented as suggested, but occupy "the corners of a square". (c/f NS93NW 1).
Surveyed at 1:10 000 and 1:100.

AOC Archaeology Group undertook a survey of seven chambered cairns and one four poster stone circle on Arran was undertaken for the purposes of providing a baseline record, for conservation management and for archaeological study.
