Mr McKellar, the grieve at Stonefield, states that in olden times, children were brought from various parts of the country and buried in this small piece of ornamental ground adjoining the bay of Port nam Paisd.
Name Book 1867.
In his book, White (1875) adds that this burial ground is covered by a small fir coppice. It was not identified by Campbell and Sandeman.

There is no trace of a burial ground in this area.

Field Visit (August 1976)
No visible remains of this infants' graveyard were identified. It is supposed to have given its name to the adjacent inlet, Port nan Paisd ('harbour of the child') (en.1).
