Archaeology Notes (3 April 1973)

NR83SE 17 c. 884 309.

A stone hammer, length 7ins, greatest width 2 1/4ins, thickness 1 1/2ins bore 1in in diameter, found near King's Cave (Balfour 1910) (NR 8845 3093) is in Paisley Museum. Roe (1966), unaware of Balfour (1910), lists this as a (?) battle-axe, full details unavailable.
