Orkney Smr Note

Mound of earth and burnt stones. No finds. Mutilated by quarrying. OS Aug 64.

As described except that visible stones do not appear burnt. [The farmer] said that he never noticed any sign of burning there; he had always been careful not to touch the mound, and previous owner was very superstitious about it, so he doubted the hollows were due to quarrying.

Information from Orkney SMR (RGL) Apr 79.
