Orkney Smr Note
A large mound with a covering of light green turf which shows
up clearly against the rougher heather land surrounding it except
on the W side where the land is cultivated. At the W side also a
well may be noted closely impinging on the outer margin of the mound.
The mound appears to have been cut through from E to W by a
Former excavation. It's diameter is about 70ft and is about 6ft
high. A great deal of material has apparently been carted away.
visit date 12 June 1929. [R1]
