Fan Knowe is a grass-covered mound of earth and small stones, probably a burnt mound, from its similarity with burnt mounds elsewhere (HY31NW 12 and 26 and HY31NE 8) although no burnt material is visible. It measures c.1.8m high and c.23.0m N-S by 16.0m transversely.
Resurveyed at 1/2500.
