NR 945 265 (centre) Site recorded in March 1999, during a survey which covered an area of c 300ha lying to the N of Glenree Farmhouse on the unclassified Ross Road, running between Lamlash and Sliddery. The survey area consists of boggy upland moorland sheep pasture.

NR 9459 2678 This vertically placed stone, standing 1.45m high in a grass and heather clad slope at 195m OD, is a prominent feature. Some 95m up slope to the north east is a small well defined four poster setting. Sites identified during an archaeological survey on Arran and Jura by the ACFA.

Field Visit (31 October 2019)
This standing stone, which is situated in boggy moorland, is a moss-grown, roughly triangular slab of pebbly conglomerate interleaved with several layers of fine sandstone, the latter also comprising the comparatively smooth and regular broad outer faces of the stone. On its NE face there are at least 7 cupmarks measuring up to 80mm in diameter and 4mm in depth, two of which have cut through the sandstone layer to the conglomerate below. On the SW face there are at least 4 more cupmarks measuring up to 75mm in diameter and 13mm in depth.
