This standing stone, which is situated in boggy moorland, is a moss-grown, roughly triangular slab of pebbly conglomerate interleaved with several layers of fine sandstone, the latter also comprising the comparatively smooth and regular broad outer faces of the stone. On its NE face there are at least 7 cupmarks measuring up to 80mm in diameter and 4mm in depth, two of which have cut through the sandstone layer to the conglomerate below. On the SW face there are at least 4 more cupmarks measuring up to 75mm in diameter and 13mm in depth.
