The Trigonometrical Station on the summit of Lammer Law stands on the perimeter of a round cairn, presumably of Bronze Age date, which measures from 55 ft to 60 ft in diameter and stands at the present time to a maximum height of 4 ft. The stones of the cairn are exposed on all sides except the NE, where they are overgrown with grass, but the centre of the structure is covered by a modern cairn.

Visited by RCAHMS (KAS) 31 May 1954.
