NX16NE 13 1528 6739.
The causeway described by RCAHMS was located at NX 1528 6739. It appears to be relatively modern and, although its purpose is not clear, it may have been built, merely to provide access to the top of the isolated rock, the chasm having formerly extended further to the NW. No evidence of fortification was noted on the rock or in its vicinity.
