NS38SW 2 3441 8451.

(NS 3441 8451) Round cairn or mound of earth and stones, grass covered. Diameter c.50ft height c.7ft. Visited 12 July 1953. Appearance prehistoric, though said to be grave of boys killed at battle of Glen Fruin in early 17th century (NS38NE 1).

A grass covered cairn, 20m in diameter and with a maximum height of 2.6m, the stony construction being visible in the slopes.

Visited by OS (DS) 25 September 1956

A sword, with its wooden handle still in good condition, was found near this cairn about thirty years ago, but its present whereabouts is not known (Mr Clarke, Wester Auchendennan).
