Hillock of Garth [NAT]

OS 1:10,000 map, 1971.
The Hillock of Garth is an ovate cairn, 22.5m long, NNW-SSE x 19.5m broad and 1.6m. high situated on moorland at HY 4704 0679. A large pit and smaller holes recently dug in the top show the cairn to consist of stone slabs, but there is no cist or internal chambering visible.
Surveyed at 1/2500.

This cairn is situated on the boundary between the parishes of Kirkwall & St Ola and St Andrews & Deerness.
