Scope and Content Fort at Law Hill, Arnbathie, Perth and Kinross This large fort is situated on Law Hill, Arnbathie, near Scone. It is a multi-period site and appears to have at least three construction phases. This is an aerial view of the site. The fort is roughly oval on plan, and its central enclosure can be clearly seen - now defined by a later dyke which runs along the original rampart. The ditches and ramparts of earlier defences can be seen below. The complex sequence of construction on the site cannot be understood without excavation. Two hut-circles, 12.3m and 8.2 m in diameter, have been located immediately below the fort, and a Bronze Age cairn stands on the highest point. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
