Scope and Content Drawing showing plan of chapel and burial-ground known as Duisker 2, Islay, Argyll and Bute The remains of two chapels lie near a farmhouse at Duisker c.3.5km west of Ballygrant, Islay. This chapel, known as Duisker 2, stands in a burial-ground 200m south-west of the farmhouse. Very little is known about the chapel and its date is unknown. This drawing shows a plan of the remains of the chapel within it burial-ground. The entrance to the chapel is placed in the centre of the west-south-west wall. The burial-ground is roughly circular in shape with an entrance at the north. The remains of the chapel stand no more than 0.9m high, and the walls are now covered with turf. The burial-ground measures c.13m in diameter and is enclosed by a drystone wall. A small stony mound just north-east of the chapel may be a grave-marker. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
