Scope and Content cf PAs 21, 64, 85, 90, 114, 115, 125, 126 and 127. Maroon album with hard covers of imitation leather and smooth spine, 18 card pages secured with linen and interleaved. Titled on front in gold script 'Photographs', inscribed inside front cover 'DF Turnbull 1907' Family photographs including people and places also in the other Turnbull albums. This album contains views taken in Madras, Rhodesia and Suez including landing-boats at fire-drill on SS "Derbyshire"; Messrs Wilson & Co's office showing Mr Whitson, Mr Shelford and staff at Madras; a tug at Port Elizabeth; Glen Lorne, Rhodesia 1907; the P & O steamships "Osiris" and "Arcadia" coaling at Port Said 1907; Madras Bank and Post Office from the pier 1901. There are also snapshots of members of the Hansard, Kindersley and Turnbull families, some taken at Place of Bonhill 1900 and at Corrennie Gardens, Edinburgh 1906; Mary and Harry Shaw 1906; several school groups of boys at Warden House 1906 and two views of the Mill at Millburn [Bonhill] 1900, showing the chimney, rail lines and pantiled workshops. One or two army groups show the 2nd Brabants and Scottish regiments.
