Scope and Content Titled: 'Pittencrieff House, Dunfermline. Dining room details'. The drawing is not signed or dated, but possibly by Thomas S Rutherford. Plans of panelling in dining room of Pittencrieff House, Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, Fife Pittencrieff House was built in about 1635 for Sir Alexander Clerk of Pittencrief. It was bought in 1902 by Andrew Carnegie who presented it to the nation in 1903. In 1909-11 Robert S Lorimer converted it to a museum and club. Lorimer used this original panelling in the dining room as a basis for new panelling throughout the ground-floor of the house. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
