Scope and Content A large room with a fireplace and comfortable chairs, in which a billiard table takes centre place. The table is lit from above by lamps suspended from a rack. The walls are hung with portraits and paintings, and a wine cooler stands near the window. Poltalloch House is traditionally the seat of the Malcolm family. In the late 19th century it was occupied by Lord Malcolm of Poltalloch, who was elevated to the peerage in 1896. The house was partly demolished in 1957.
