Scope and Content A ruined tower house with a corner turret surviving to roof height stands on a peninsula jutting out into a loch. High craggy mountains rise up in the background. A drystone wall runs along the shore line and across the peninsula below the castle remains. The castle was built by the MacLeods in the early 16th century. In the 18th century it was hit by lightning and destroyed by the resulting fire.
