Scope and Content A Victorian Gothic building with turrets, battlements, niches, a crown steeple and a recessed arched entrance, set in a large graveyard. There is a statue in the corner niche. The mausoleum was built in red sandstone for local artist Patrick Allan Fraser, who died in 1890 and bequeathed his home 'Hospitalfield' to be used as a residence-cum-college for artists and craftsmen; it is still used as a summer school for artists.
