Scope and Content A harled mansion house in distinctly Scottish style, with crow step gables, corner turrets and slated roof. A flagpole, in the corner of the courtyard beside the arched entrance gate, is flying the ensign. A large lawn and gravel drive are before the house which has plants climbing up its walls. An inscription is set over the gateway and there is a corner turret on the courtyard wall. This is a 17th century L plan house with a walled courtyard. The inscription above the gateway ascribes the building work to the Burnetts of Leys in 1619-1627.
