Scope and Content A 9km tunnel carries water from Loch Monar to the underground power station at Deanie, pictured here and located near the western end of Loch Beannarcharan. The water passes through two vertical shaft Francis turbines. Each of these drives a 19MW generator to give a total installed capacity of 38MW of power.
