Scope and Content This is a distant view of the north dam at Loch Monar in Glen Strathfarrar. The dam is an unusual double curvature concrete arch dam which is one of the few examples of this type in Britain. Loch Monar feeds the northern part of this hydro-electric scheme, allowing water to flow 9km through underground tunnels to Deanie power station.
