Scope and Content Designed by Harold Ogle Tarbolton with J Guthrie Brown of Sir Alexander Gibb and Partners acting as the consulting engineer, the power station at Pitlochry was built between 1947 and 1951. It is a classical modern design in pre-cast concrete blocks. This is a photograph of a turbine inside the station, which was commissioned in 1950 and has an operating capacity of 15 MW.
