Scope and Content Clunie Power Station Water receives its water from Loch Tummel, diverted via tunnel and pipeline. Loch Tummel, seen here, is a narrow loch some 11km in length. It is located north west of Pitlochry in Perth and Kinross. It became part of the Tummel Hydro-Electric Power Scheme when the Dam was constructed by Wimpey Construction at its eastern end in 1950, raising the water level by 4.5 metres. Schiehallion, 1083 m high, can be seen in the background of this image, which was taken from the Queen's View looking west.
