Scope and Content Titled: 'Pittencrieff House, Dunfermline. 1/8 scale plans'. Measured and drawn: 'April 1903. Thos T Rutherford'. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN: Pre-conversion plans of Pittencrieff House, Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, Fife Pittencrieff House was built in about 1635 for Sir Alexander Clerk of Pittencrief. It was bought in 1902 by Andrew Carnegie who presented it to the nation in 1903. In 1909-11 Robert S Lorimer converted it to a museum and club. These plans were drawn up in 1903 and show the interior layout of the house before it was remodelled by Lorimer. The top floor was added in 1731.
