Description Oblique aerial view of Upper Slackbuie housing estate and Druidtemple archaeological site, Inverness, looking E.

Date 8/4/2015

Collection Papers of James Sloan Bone, landscape historian, Inverness, Highland, Scotland

Catalogue Number DP 343494

Scope and Content The rectangular wooded plot within the field in upper left sector of image comprises the Druidtemple site, with its chambered Clava-type cairn (denuded) and stone circle. Two cists have been found there. Enlargement of image suggests survival of rig and furrow at open edge of plot, but further investigation would be necessary to confirm this.
