Two urns from a stone cist opened in the Leys, near Inverness had been given to the Museum of the Northern Institution (later the Inverness Scientific Society and Field Club) in or by 1827, by Col. J. Baillie of Leys. The short cist contained a layer of sand, burnt bones and ashes.

Druidtemple 1 NH c 685 420 NH64SE 28
Before 1827 a cist was found near the Clava cairn NH64SE 23; it contained cremated bone, ash and two 'urns'. This may be the empty cist noted by Cameron in 1882.
