Scope and Content Castle Stuart was built by the Earl of moray c. 1625 on the site of Hallhill Castle. It was recently restored and is now a modern golf hotel. Old Petty Church was built in 1839 on the site of an older church and is surrounded by a burial ground with the MacIntosh Mausoleum and watch house dated 1825.
