Scope and Content Craig Harbour, with RRS "Discovery" (distinct in this image), is c. one-quarter of the distance along the shoreline between the road and rail bridges, with the domed Discovery Point visitor centre beside it. The harbour was the northern terminal of the Tay Ferries service (known affectionately as "the Fifie") to Newport on Tay, which ceased with the opening of the road bridge. It is also the site of Dundee's 13th-C harbour. Above and to the left the sprawling white building is Ninewells Hospital and Medical Centre. Beyond the Airport the fertile flatlands of the Carse of Gowrie can be seen extending westwards, with the backdrop of the Sidlaw Hills. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
