Scope and Content This view shows the royal Navy pier from WW1 and WW2, and wartime defensive buildings and storehouse. Nigg pier is now used for the seasonal ferry between Cromarty and Nigg was referred to by Robert the Bruce and King James IV. It's the site too of Dunskeath House, destroyed by fire in 1960, only the servants quarters remain. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
