Scope and Content This view shows Cromarty House and gardens. It was built in 1722 for George Ross of Pitkernie after he acquired the Cromarty estate. It was restored in the 1960s for the Nightingale family. It has an ice house, servants tunnel, stables and lodge. Also a burial ground where St Regulus Chapel was located, (no longer evident now).
