Scope and Content This image shows a cropmark record of a ring ditch feature lying to the R (i.e. W) of the west clavicular-style entrance to the Roman Camp at Strathcathro, thought to date to the late 1st or early 2nd century AD, possibly during the campaigns of Agricola during his governorship of Roman Britain. The ring ditch measures 16.25 metres in (?external) diameter. Broad rig furrows can be seen as cropmarks in the adjoining field and there is a possible linear feature between the ring ditch and fort that looks like a modern pipeline route. The site is also referred to as Smiddyhill. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
