Scope and Content A general view of the N end of Inverness showing: the Clachnaharry locks and the Muirtown Basin of the Caledonian Canal, the South Kessock and Merkinch areas of Inverness, the mouth of the River Ness and Inverness harbour. The image looks over the Longman Industrial estate and the Kessock Bridge to the Moray Firth and plain beyond.
