Scope and Content A general view of the west side of Inverness from Holm looking down the River Ness and the Caledonian Canal, towards the Kessock Bridge and the Black Isle. Torvean quarry (mid-left, closed in 1989) Tomnahurich wooded mound (just L of centre) and the Ness Islands (R of centre) are the most prominent features in this.
