Scope and Content Findon Quarry goes back to the C18 and there was a pier beside the quarry to facilitate the export of stone and the import of coal and timber. Both have been damaged by the construction of the Cromarty Bridge (opened 1979) and the flooded quarry is now hidden by the sewage treatment works and a belt of trees.
